Enjoy industry dialogue ahead of the trade fair: The Stone+tec newsroom is now online! 27. July 2017 // NürnbergMesse It’s just under a year until the start of Stone+tec, the next major gathering of the European and German-speaking stone sector. But the Stone+tec newsroom is already open. In the newly created news area of the Stone+tec website, visitors will now find news and reports on the hot topics affecting the stone segment and preparations for the trade fair. The continuously updated platform can be found at www.stone-tec.com/news. In the meantime, the supporting programme for the trade fair is also taking shape. Starting immediately, the Stone+tec newsroom will address much discussed issues in the stone community. And as the window to the stone industry it will offer a broad panorama of new developments in construction, monuments, gravestones and design. Alongside the news ticker, readers will find detailed reports on all kinds of stone and the stone works featuring in the special material show “Our Natural Stone”. “As a trade fair, Stone+tec is a byword for professional dialogue among all industry players. It’s where challenges are discussed, solutions devised and trends created. Thanks to the newsroom, this dialogue can be started now, ten months before the actual event, ” says Beate Fischer, Exhibition Director Stone+tec at NürnbergMesse, about the new web page. Diversity and international focus at Nuremberg The launch of the newsroom just under a year before Stone+tec 2018 shows that preparations for the international exhibition for natural stone and stone technology are in full swing. The local industry associations, including BIV (Association of German Stonemasons), DNV (German Natural Stone Association) and the VdG (Association for Memorial Culture) are developing their participation in trade fair and supporting programme. Numerous exhibitors from 17 countries meanwhile have also already registered for Stone+tec 2018. Interested companies can benefit from attractive early booking rates for stand hire until 31 October. Trending topics – robotics and sustainability As well as the innovations showcased by exhibitors, the hot topics in the industry will also be the centre of attention at Stone+tec 2018. In keeping with the sustainability trend, the special show “Our natural stone – working together for a sustainable future” brings together native material from various stone works in the shape of unfinished sheet and crafted objects. In a second special show “Technology and chemistry for worktops”, stonemasons who wish to step up their expertise in interior finishing will find useful products and ideas. The accompanying supporting programme at Stone+tec offers presentations and daily panel discussions, including an exploration of focus topics such as “Opposites attract: CNC and design” and “Decision-making support: robot or machining centre”. About Stone+tec Stone+tec, the international trade fair for natural stone and stone processing, is organised by NürnbergMesse with honorary sponsorship from the DNV (German Natural Stone Association) and BIV (Association of German Stonemasons). It also receives international support from Confindustria Marmomacchine, the Italian Association for Natural Stone Working Machinery and Equipment. With over 15, 000 trade visitors in 2015, Stone+tec is the most important gathering for the natural stone industry in the German-speaking regions. |
