European Coatings Show and Conference bigger than ever

April 2017

• Exhibitor numbers up again to 1, 135
• Conference provides professional expertise in 144 presentations

From 4 to 6 April 2017, the European Coatings Show will once again underline its status as the leading international show for the paints and coatings industry. With a total of 1, 135 exhibitors, the number of companies taking part at the world’s most important event of the coatings industry has again increased significantly by 11 percent (1, 024 in 2015). As well as numerous industry giants, German and international specialists, ambitious young start-ups are also represented at this leading gathering at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg. On 3 and 4 April, the European Coatings Show Conference takes place semi-concurrently with the show with a programme offering a comprehensive overview of the latest research findings.

In seven exhibition halls, participating companies provide information about all components for manufacturing paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants, additives, printing inks and construction chemicals. In addition to raw materials and services, discussions at the exhibition stands will also revolve around testing, measuring, laboratory and production technology in the two halls devoted to this thematic focus.

Substantial international participation
Companies from 40 nations will showcase their products and services at the European Coatings Show. Once again, there is a very large international contingent among the participating exhibitors. Following Germany with 363 exhibitors, the list of exhibitors is topped by China with 204, Italy with 74 and the Netherlands with 65. Other exhibiting countries include the USA, numerous Asian countries, several Arab countries and India.

For the first time three international pavilions
As well as a Chinese pavilion distributed over all halls, trade visitors can look forward to a Czech pavilion in hall 4 and another pavilion for companies from South Korea in hall 1.

Young innovative companies get their own pavilion
In hall 4A, innovative new companies from Germany will showcase their developments in a dedicated pavilion. This is the third time that the pavilion, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), has offered a platform for coatings solutions made in Germany.

Product presentations on trending issues of sustainability and
functionality
Environmental compatibility and functionality are increasingly at the forefront of development work on modern paints, coatings and varnishes. In Halls 1, 5 and 7, representatives of the exhibiting companies will explore these and other trends in 15-minute product presentations covering the entire range of technologies showcased in Nuremberg and designed to provide an overview of the current development status. This is where developers learn how they can best meet the changing requirements imposed on their products.
