Turner-Walsh Joint Venture to Build a New Veterans Administration Medical Center

The Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, selected Turner Construction Company and Walsh Construction to build an $840 million full-service medical center to serve military veterans in Louisville, Kentucky. The medical center will replace the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

In addition to the construction of the new 104-bed, 910,115 square foot medical center, the project includes parking structures, a central utility plant, roadways, sidewalks, and other site improvements.

Small, local, and veteran-owned groups will be involved in the construction of this world-class healthcare facility. The facility will integrate modern patient-centered care concepts to veterans. To address the needs of women veterans, the facility will include a Women's Health Clinic with four Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACT).

A groundbreaking for the facility will be held in the fall of 2021 and is scheduled to be complete in 2025.
