Osram supplies interior lighting for the Shenzhen World exhibition center

The Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center (Shenzhen World) has resumed its work under strict security precautions and launched an innovative platform for the presentation of digital exhibitions and congresses. Shenzhen World serves as a venue for events and has space for restaurants, shopping and offices. With a total area of around 1.48 million square meters, including 500,000 square meters of indoor space, Shenzhen World has broken eight world records as the world's largest exhibition and convention center.

Osram has developed an extensive interior lighting solution for this extraordinarily complex and large building. To illuminate the entire venue evenly, the Osram installation takes full advantage of daylight and arranges lighting in such a way that it meets the special needs of the individual areas. More than 100,000 indoor LED fixtures have been installed in over ten indoor areas, such as the multifunctional hall, the media center, the ballroom, the international lecture hall and the stadium, to create modern rooms with ideal lighting.

In line with Shenzhen World's commitment to sustainability, Osram strategically placed the LED installations based on the daylight characteristics of the building to ensure efficient use. The various light scenarios in the interior are geared towards human well-being. All LED lights are connected to the central system for lighting control in order to achieve the goal of needs-based use.

Mr. Han Min, director of Osram North Asia, said: "Since Shenzhen World is the world's leading exhibition and convention facility, Osram is honored to be part of the project to make it a modern, green and digital space."

After the lighting project in the central atrium of Beijing Daxing International Airport, Shenzhen World is another Osram lighthouse project in the area of interior lighting.
