Potain Igo 22 installed on hard-to-reach job site in historic French city

A Potain Igo 22 has been successfully installed on a job site in the center of Avignon, a historic city in southeastern France's Provence region. Access to the job site was challenging, as it is only accessible via very narrow streets. However, local dealer Uperio supplied a mobile crane to carefully lift the Igo 22 into place and managed the necessary road closures, making the installation possible. Contractor Batik Construction has now commenced work on the job site, a residential development restoration project in the heart of the city. Batik provides construction solutions across the Vaucluse, Luberon and Alpilles provinces. The company has considerable expertise in the renovation of older and historic buildings, and had recently completed a project with the Igo 22 on another prestigious restoration job site in the small village in the Luberon.

"With this type of construction site, it is imperative that we respect the tranquility of the surrounding area and ensure that the site has minimal impact on the environment," said Richard Favre, CEO of Batik Construction. "We need a silent crane that minimizes noise pollution compared with other lifting systems. Also, with compact and self-erecting Igo cranes, transport and installation are easier. Finally, the Igo 22 has a lifting capacity up to 1,800 kg and high-performance extended jib load curves that facilitate lifting operations, particularly for large stones and concrete materials."
