Rockfon Contour baffles create comfortable, attractive interiors

Acoustic ceiling baffles provide a sound-absorbing, aesthetically appealing option for quieter, more comfortable and attractive interior spaces. Rockfon Contour vertical hanging ceiling baffles are made from acoustic stone wool for high sound absorption. Our innovative, frameless baffle ceiling system is engineered for fast and easy installation. Once the ceiling baffles are installed, the reduced noise often is immediately apparent to the occupants. Rockfon Contour hanging ceiling baffles deliver an alternative, acoustic solution in challenging spaces when typical acoustic grid and ceiling suspension systems may not be feasible. In historic buildings, baffles can be installed around high windows, structural beams, pillars, and other obstacles to maintain the existing architecture, while improving acoustic performance.

With a sharp, minimalistic edge and a subtle, elegant bevel, frameless baffles hang vertically to create a visually appealing design feature. For a contemporary, linear look, baffle systems also can be used in open plenum ceiling designs to mask the structure above it.

Ideally suited for acoustical corrections in renovations and retrofits, they also are a smart choice in new restaurants and cafés, museums, call centers, manufacturing facilities and open-plan offices.

Supporting sustainable goals

Rockfon Contour features a smooth texture and white color on both sides to optimize light reflection (LR 0.79). High light reflection supports daylighting and energy efficiency.

Contributing to the building's other sustainable goals, Rockfon Contour ceiling baffles also support LEED v4 criteria for Materials and Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, and include up to 42 percent recycled content.

Part of our extensive portfolio of stone wool acoustic ceiling products, Rockfon Contour baffles also have earned UL Environment's GREENGUARD Gold Certification for low-emitting products. Stone wool also is water-repellent and provides no sustenance to harmful microorganisms. These benefits are recognized not only by LEED, but also by The WELL Building Standard, CHPS, Green Globes, BREEAM International and CALGreen.

Added benefits

In addition to acoustic, light reflection and environmental performance, Rockfon Contour baffles have a Fire Class A rating and are dimensionally stable at levels up to 100 percent relative humidity.

For easy installation, these baffles are designed in a modular format of 1 foot or 2 foot heights, and are 4 feet wide by 2 inches deep. Providing low maintenance and long-term durability, our stone wool baffles supplied in North America are supported with a 30-year limited product warranty
