New CertainTeed Fence-It Tool

Homeowners can now try out different fence styles and colors before the first post is ever bought or placed, thanks to a new online home exterior visualization tool from CertainTeed. The tool, called Fence-It, creates a stunningly realistic rendering of how various CertainTeed Fence Collection products will look in a yard before homeowners spend a cent out of their budget. "While fences are a great option for framing up an outdoor living space, many homeowners don't usually view them as decorative," said Doug Mucher, senior marketing manager for CertainTeed Outdoor Living. "CertainTeed's Fence-It visualization tool will allow contractors to show homeowners the added value that fences can bring to a front or back yard – without having to convince them to spend any of their budget upfront."

Using the digital desktop tool, contractors can walk homeowners through various fence styles by placing digital renderings over a stock home photo to visualize which products will best fit their overall outdoor design. Using the pre-loaded gallery, users can choose between a front yard or backyard setting before picking a fence category (private, semi-private, contemporary, classic, traditional or post and rail), style, height and color. The tool also indicates which products are swimming pool-compliant and have WindZone Performance or ColorLast Fade Protection for helping homeowners decide which solutions will best fit their outdoor area.

Once the rendering is finished, it can be saved as a .jpeg file and shared via email or text between the contractor and homeowner.

Fence-It joins CertainTeed's extensive arsenal of home exterior visualization tools, including ColorView exterior style and color selector, ColorCoach virtual color swatch book, iDreambook interactive catalog, Trim-It digital trim visualizer, CurbAppeal product selector, EverView railing visualizer, Blend-It blended color selector and more.

While Fence-It provides an accurate portrayal of product use, CertainTeed recommends homeowners reference physical product samples for texture and color before making a final decision.
