Upward trend in Russian economy reflected in CTT 2017
According to a survey by Russian trade association RSPP, foreign companies are seeing an improvement in the business climate in the country. This is consistent with the results of the latest AHK business climate survey forecasting a positive development of the Russian economy for 2017. This trend is also reflected in the international participation in the CTT, taking place from May 30 to June 3, 2017 in the Crocus Expo IEC in Moscow.
Numerous international country pavilions have already registered for the CTT: China with more than 80 exhibitors, Germany with 38 exhibitors, Italy with 21 and Finland with five exhibitors. International participation is high even outside the pavilions. Many industry heavyweights, represented by their Russian distributors, have registered for CTT 2017. As of the beginning of March, for example, SDLG (represented by RBAuto), Hyundai (represented by TechMashUnit), Shantui (represented by StroyImportTechnika) and Hitachi (represented by Hit Machinery) have joined. One of the biggest Russian manufacturers of off-road trucks, Automobile Plant URAL of the GAZ Group, is also exhibiting again, as are KAMAZ, Volvo Penta, Hidromek and Kaercher, who are back in Moscow again for the first time since 2012. Haulotte Vostok, manufacturer and supplier of lifting platforms, will also be represented at the trade fair.
Organizing trade shows for the international construction machinery sector is a core competence of Messe München. Its portfolio includes not only the world´s leading trade show, bauma in Munich, and the brand event bauma China in Shanghai—it also cooperates with the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) in the organization of BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA in Gurgaon/Delhi and BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA in Johannesburg. In December 2015, Messe München successfully expanded its portfolio again by purchasing the leading Russian construction-machinery exhibition CTT.
