CTT 2017: Numerous big names in the industry already registered

Even before the official closing date for registrations, numerous local and international key accounts have already registered for CTT 2017, which will be held at the Crocus Expo IEC in Moscow, Russia from May 30 to June 3. Russian companies taking part in the international specialized exhibition for Construction Equipment & Technologies include Chaika-NN, ELAZ, Kovrov Electromechanical Plant, Kudesnik, Novtrak, Peterburgsky Traktorny Zavod, PSMHYDRAULICS, and Tradicia-K and Tverstroymash. International companies such as Ammann, Bosch Rexroth, Koluman, Liebherr, Liugong, Manitou, Merlo, Palfinger, Putzmeister, Saez, Tatra Trucks, ThyssenKrupp Bautechnik, and Wirtgen will also be exhibiting at CTT. John Deere Construction & Forestry Division, which will be represented by its Russian dealer ACT as well as Komatsu, represented by its Russian dealer ISTK will also be there in Moscow.

Marina Vashurkina, Deputy Director General of CTT Expo LLC, is delighted that "58 companies that were not at CTT 2016 have already registered. For us as the organizer, this is a sign that the market is stabilizing and, at the same time, it confirms the role of CTT as an important business platform." And Maritta Dötter, Exhibition Director of the bauma shows abroad, expects "that visitor quality and reach will be influenced positively by the synergies with the bauma cluster."

Infrastructure projects stimulating the Russian construction machinery market
After the recession of the past few years, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development expects a rise again in GDP of 0.6 to 0.8 percent. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development also predicts moderate economic growth. More than twenty construction and infrastructure projects launched in the Russian Federation in the last few years with a high level of investment give the construction industry cause for hope. Examples include a transportation route through the Kerch Strait, the Power of Siberia pipeline, and an infrastructure project on the Siberian Yamal peninsula in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug sea port of Sabetta. In addition, more than 60 percent of the Russian regions, such as Moscow, Tatarstan, and KhantyMansiysk, plan developments, especially in the area of residential construction. The 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2019 Winter Universiade will also increase the construction volume and thus drive the purchase of new machinery.
