Hitachi's High-Tech AC Brushless Impact Wrenches

Hitachi Power Tools unveiled a new line of ultra-efficient AC Brushless Impact Wrenches featuring Hitachi's Aluminum Housing Body (AHB) construction that delivers impressive internal and external durability. Hitachi leads the commercial industry in North America by delivering products that permit the use of extra-long extension cords without power loss, and also eliminates maintenance of armatures or carbon brushes. These Impact Wrenches deliver superior performance when powered by a generator due to an internal inverter circuit that regulates uneven power supply for ultimate jobsite convenience.

Ideal for tightening and loosening nuts and bolts in the automobile, ship building, agricultural and construction industry; they are also useful when assembling scaffolding, installing electrical equipment, plumbing, HVAC installation and other various fastening applications.

Hitachi leads the market in North America for AC Brushless motor technology. An AC Brushless motor is more efficient, leading to longer run time, increased power and extended durability with essentially no maintenance. Eliminating the need for carbon brushes means freedom from issues with the motor armature burning out, experiencing layer shorts or commutator wear in severe environments. Also, brush wear and resulting armature damage from lack of maintenance is the most common service issue. This is completely eliminated by the Brushless motor resulting in more uninterrupted run times.

Additionally Brushless motors regulate the power supply for stability in performance even if the voltage drops. The Brushless motor continually monitors the electrical flow and load conditions so the tool can operate with a longer extension cord without performance loss.

These AC Brushless Impact Wrenches are also designed for compatibility with a generator thanks to Hitachi's compact and highly efficient inverter circuit. This circuit cleans up and modulates the electricity before it is used in the motor providing steady, stable operation and greatly reduces the risk of damaging the internal circuits. This is ideal for mobile contractors without a permanent power source on the jobsite.

The WR25SE and WR22SE Impact Wrenches incorporate Hitachi's Aluminum Housing Body (AHB) construction. This significantly enhances the internal and external durability of the tool. Externally the metal body construction is more resistant to jobsite impacts and harsh conditions than plastic counterparts. Internally, incorporating a plastic stator holder around the Brushless motor provides the internal double insulation construction that can protect the user from electric shock. The motor and hammer bearings are seated in the metal housing to reduce vibration and stress, and increases stability. During use, the metal keeps the internal gears secure and aligned preventing wear and power loss. Additionally- the metal body dissipates heat better, increasing overall motor life.

The corded Impact Wrenches are covered in a soft, yet durable elastomer compound, which helps absorbs vibration. This coating also provides a comfortable and slip-resistant grip and prevents the tool from sliding off a surface when not in use. The handle is angled outward in order to ergonomically conform to the user's hand. The large nose bumper protects the tool's gear cover and additionally protects the user from heat if touched during continuous operation. A large forward/reverse toggle switch is designed for convenience to quickly change the fastening direction.

Covered by Hitachi's 5-Year Warranty, these AC Brushless Impact Wrenches are designed to last. Expect more AC Brushless motor tools to come from Hitachi in its expanding Commercial business.
