CertainTeed announced "Get into the Doghouse"

CertainTeed announced the return of celebrity contractors Kate Campbell and Damon Bennett for the second annual "Get into the Doghouse" contest. The two home improvement celebrities are facing off in a friendly competition to build the ultimate, insulated doghouse to demonstrate the important role insulation plays in protecting families – including furry ones – against Canada's extreme temperatures. Kate won last year, so Damon is sure to bring his 'A' game for the 2016 competition.

"Families love their pets and we found this promotion to be a fun and engaging way to have a conversation with them about the benefits of properly insulating," says Marlon Thompson, senior marketing product manager for CertainTeed Insulation. "CertainTeed's naturally-made, Sustainable Insulation combined with Membrain Continuous Air Barrier and Smart Vapor Retarder ensures long-lasting thermal comfort and helps protect against mold and mildew. It also helps to improve indoor air quality. Together, it's an effective way of making families and pets more comfortable in their homes."

Ultimately, two victors will emerge from the competition—the first will be either Kate or Damon. However, one lucky homeowner will win as well. Homeowners are encouraged to go to facebook.com/CertainTeedCanada, watch Kate and Damon face off, vote for their favourite and then enter to win a custom doghouse plus $2,000 of CertainTeed insulation products.

The winning celebrity contractor also receives a $1000 donation for the animal charity of their choice. The contest runs through November 30 in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

CertainTeed insulation products are available at home improvement stores across Canada.
