Hitachi's New Triple Hammer Impact Driver, Model WH18DBDL2

Hitachi Power Tools (Hitachi Koki USA, Ltd.) announced the newest addition to its 18V Brushless Lithium Ion Cordless line, the WH18DBDL2 Triple Hammer Impact Driver that is truly in a class of its own. This revolutionary Professional impact incorporates a third anvil for ultimate torque, less vibration and faster tightening speed. It is powered by Hitachi's new Compact 3.0Ah battery that delivers the same capacity as an 18V 3.0Ah Lithium Ion battery, but in about half the footprint and weight for the ultimate professional experience.

By incorporating a third anvil (thus the name Triple Hammer) as opposed to the standard dual-anvil system, this tool is able to achieve an astonishing 1832 in/lbs of torque, 4,000 max BPM, as well as reduce the vibration produced when using the tool. With unmatched turning torque in its class and weighing just 2.9lbs, the WH18DBDL2 tackles heavy applications like tightening and loosening carriage bolts, driving lags and sinking deck screws with minimal effort. Additionally, it can drill into wood, metal and concrete. Being equipped with four different speed settings, a professional can conveniently tackle a wide variety of applications with just one tool in hand. The WH18DBDL2 delivers a no-load speed from 0 to 2,900RPM and an impact rate of anywhere from 0-4, 000 BPM for ultimate jobsite flexibility.

Upon handling this Triple Hammer Impact, Hitachi's attention to detailed engineering can't be ignored with the tools ergonomic grip, light weight and center balance design that is especially evident during continuous use operation. The WH18DBDL2 also features a Brushless motor, which plays a large part in decreasing the weight, while increasing runtime per charge as well as improving the overall life of the tool. To add on to this feature rich tool, Hitachi has acquired IP56 certification, to add a degree of protection against dust and water exposure. And, the WH18DBDL2 is produced with an optimal cooling design to efficiently cool the motor and hammer case, thus increasing durability.

This one of a kind Triple Hammer Impact Driver also features a white LED light, a low battery indicator; metal belt hook, ¼" hex chuck for easy bit replacements and a responsive variable speed trigger to ensure the end user has a productive working environment, while achieving the appropriate amount of power for the application.

The WH18DBDL2 Triple Hammer comes with two Compact 3.0Ah Lithium Ion batteries, a rapid charger and new, redesigned stylish carrying case. The Hitachi Compact 3.0Ah battery (model BSL1830C) is a new addition to Hitachi's battery platform and is unique to the market. These new batteries have the same capacity as a conventional 18V 3.0Ah Lithium Ion battery, while the new footprint is ¾" shorter in height and 0.6 lbs lighter in weight (compared to Hitachi battery model BSL1830) making the work experience lighter, more comfortable and more convenient. The batteries are also equipped with Hitachi's Multiplex Protection Circuit to prevent over-load, over-charge and over-discharge that further extends the lifetime of the battery. They are fully compatible with all Hitachi 18V Lithium Ion slide type tools for even more flexibility across Hitachi's cordless line.

The new Rapid Charger (model UC18YSL3) cools the battery during the charging cycle to prevent overheating and comes with a color light indicator to clearly indicate the stage of charging the battery has achieved. This charger can replenish a depleted 18V 6.0Ah battery in less than 38 minutes! Additionally, the charger is produced with a USB port that can charge smartphones and other mobile devices for added jobsite convenience.

The carrying case for the WH18DBDL2 Triple Hammer comes with two compartments; one designed to store the tool, batteries and charger, and the other to conveniently organize and safely hold a lot of accessories. The WH18DBDL2 Triple Hammer Impact comes with Hitachi's leading Lifetime Lithium Ion Tool warranty, 2-year Lithium Ion battery warranty and 1-year charger warranty for peace of mind.

This Triple Hammer tool is not only an upgrade to Hitachi's WH18DBDL Impact Driver, but an upgrade to the whole class of Cordless ¼" Hex Impact Drivers thanks to its unique third anvil design. The professional user is sure to notice the remarkable speed, power and overall comfort upon first use.
