FCC Industrial wins fuel supply facilities renovation contract at Dublin Airport

FCC Industrial has secured a 33 million euro Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to renovate the fuel supply facilities for aircraft at Dublin airport, Ireland. The company has been contracted by CLH Aviación to complete the 36 month project which will improve refueling of aircraft at the city's busiest airport.

Following an open tender Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) awarded the concession of fuel supply to CLH for the airport. FCC Industrial presented the best technical and financial bid and was awarded the project. The scope of the contract includes the construction of three double-walled storage tanks each with a capacity of 5,000 cubic meters, as well as their associated facilities. These tanks will complement existing facilities increasing the overall fuel storage capacity of the airport and reducing waiting times for aircraft.

FCC Industrial will install an underground hydrant system for refueling, as well as new fire protection facilities. The contract also includes the demolition and dismantling of some existing storage facilities and construction of new control buildings and auxiliary facilities.

FCC Industrial is part of Spain's FCC Group. It is a highly specialised company with over 25 years experience delivering projects and services relating to industrial and energy installations. This project, is FCC Industrial's first in Ireland and joins other recent ongoing and completed works such as the Gas Pipeline Mariña-Lugo (Spain), expansion of regasification capacity of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Quintero (Chile) plant and storage tank for LNG in the port of Pöri (Finland).
