Strabag SE upgraded from BBB- to BBB by S&P

The international rating agency Standard & Poor's (S&P) has raised the credit rating of publicly listed construction group Strabag SE by one level from BBB- to BBB. The outlook remains at "stable".

"The upgrade within the investment-grade category is confirmation of our strategy of selective diversification and end-to-end risk management", says a satisfied Strabag SE CEO Thomas Birtel.

S&P explained its decision with reference to the company's credit ratios, which it said were already significantly above the level for the previous rating. Current forecasts indicate this should remain the case in the years to come, the rating agency says. The agency sees Strabag SE's strengths in its stable margins in an otherwise cyclical market environment, in its effective risk management and in its strong market positions.
