Actuators for short-stroke valves

The Siemens Building Technologies Division is introducing new electromotoric actuators for threaded short-stroke valves as used in energy generation and distribution. These highly compact actuators offer a high positioning force and short running times and are equipped with a multifunction manual adjuster and an easy-to-read operating status indication. The valve/actuator combination with its push-in cage terminals and generous connection space provides easy and secure installation and permits tool-free operation and maintenance in HVAC systems.

All new actuators feature a uniform design and follow the proven operating concept of the Acvatix large-stroke actuators. They offer an innovative multifunction manual adjuster which is easy to access in any installation position and allows operators to achieve a full stroke in just a few turns. This greatly facilitates emergency and service procedures. An overload protection prevents damage to the actuator. A position indicator around the manual adjuster makes it easy to see from a distance how wide the valve is open. An LED on the actuator clearly indicates the operating status.

These new generation short-stroke actuators meet all current guidelines, are UL- and CE-certified, and are compatible with all Acvatix short-stroke valves produced in the last 40 years. This makes them suited both for new installations and especially for modernizing existing HVAC systems.
