| “Stone + Light” presents stone at its best  From 13 to 16 May 2015, Stone+tec Nuremberg will delight visitors with six special shows about natural stone material, its processing methods and potential applications. Each of the displays has a distinctive focus, from contemporary cemetery concepts and the purposefulness of traditional gravestone culture to issues like the reduction of fine dust or the professional handling of new materials. One highlight in the truest sense of the word is the special "Stone + Light" show: nine objects in stone, presented very artistically thanks to individual LED lighting concepts."To create fascination through light is part of our company's philosophy and of course the objective of this exhibition. We want to show the wide range of individual lighting options offered by LED technology today, " explains Nicola Barthelme, Managing Director of the Nuremberg family firm of the same name that is providing the special show with its high-quality customized LED solutions. "Stone + Light is the result of a relatively recent cooperation with advanced pixle shuttle ag, the firm responsible for planning and executing the special show, " continues Barthelme. Trendsetter, source of inspiration and discussion forum The special show consists of nine projects, the creators of which specifically intend them to be understood not as product presentations but as individual artworks. They include, for example the "Traquarin", a three meter high water wall with a water fall flowing over it and dramatically illuminated with LED technology. Or the flexible, brilliant white LED strips that run like shoelaces through the black granite slabs of the exhibit named "Turnschuh" ("Running shoe"). At the centre of the exhibition stands an "Ideas Box", designed to act as a meeting point and discussion forum for architects, planners and designers. It will collect ideas and visions for new kinds of light and stone concepts. An expert jury will then select the best suggestions, which will be acknowledged at an awards ceremony on Friday 15 May at 16:00.
