Ferrovial to build a section of Expressway S3 in Poland

The consortium comprising Budimex and Ferrovial Agroman has been chosen by Poland's General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways to build a new section of Expressway S3, in southwest Poland, for 638.7 million zlotys (more than 153.6 million euro).

The project includes the construction of a 22.6-km section of road with two lanes in each direction between the towns of Nowa Sól and Legnica, three junctions, several walkways and a tunnel for bikes. The execution period is 30 months, excluding winter.

Budimex, Ferrovial Agroman's Polish subsidiary, will also build a centre for new technologies for Polish company Beyond.pl in Poznań. The complex will comprise two buildings, one for offices, classrooms and meeting rooms, and the other for technological infrastructure (power supply systems, climate control, storage, labs and workshops). This contract is worth 102 million zlotys (more than 24.5 million euro).
