Bilfinger wins building-construction orders for €50 million

The engineering and services group Bilfinger has won new orders for the modernization of an office property in Düsseldorf, the construction of an administration complex in Mannheim and for the construction of a development center for motors in Rüsselsheim. The three projects have a total order volume of nearly €50 million.

In Düsseldorf, Bilfinger has been tasked by Momeni Immobilien Holding, Hamburg, with the complete modernization of an office building built in the seventies. The ten-floor building will be redeveloped and another floor will be added. The Three George office complex with a gross floor space of approximately 14,000 square meters will be completed by the end of 2016. The property will meet particularly strict requirements in terms of energy efficiency and sustainability – the objective is a gold certification from the international LEED standard.

Bilfinger is building a new headquarters in Mannheim for building society GBG. It will replace an outdated building that was also built in the seventies. When the building is completed in the spring of 2016, all of the company's 270 employees will be brought together in an area with an office space of 6,400 square meters. As general contractor, Bilfinger assumes responsibility for the design, planning and turnkey construction of the energy-efficient office building.

Bilfinger was also recently commissioned by Opel to build the new International Technical Development Center for motors in Rüsselsheim. Once it goes into operation in 2017, the 36,000 square meter building will have 43 motor testing stations.

In the Building and Facility business segment, Bilfinger offers clients a comprehensive range of services including the design, construction and management of real estate from a single source. The output volume in this segment will increase to nearly €2.7 billion in the current financial year.
