BAM wins contract for extension campus Cambridge University

BAM Construct UK, the British building company of Royal BAM Group nv, has acquired a contract from University of Cambridge for the first phase of the North West Cambridge Development. The contract value is approximately €100 million (GBP 80 million).

The project involves Lots 1 and 3 of the development and includes the design and build of the 352 homes for University and College key workers as well als key local centre elements such as a supermarket, retail units, a doctors surgery and the shell of the energy centre.

BAM will build to the designs from Wilkinson Eyre, Mole Architects and Mecanoo. The local centre will open from Spring 2017.
