New photovoltaic module with electrical outputs of up to 270 watts

With the Vitovolt 200 (type M270YC), Viessmann is offering a new monocrystalline photovoltaic module that is attractive in equal measure due to its large output and its design. The module consists of 60 cells (156 mm x 156 mm). Large outputs of 250 to 260 W and a high degree of efficiency up to 16% ensure high solar energy yields. Self-generated solar power can be fed into the public network for reimbursement or be used by the operator of the system to reduce the volume of power purchased from the energy provider.

Like all Vitovolt 200 modules from Viessmann, the new type M250JC can also be combined with a Vitocal heat pump. Then the self-generated power can be used for central and DHW heating in a manner that lowers costs and is environmentally friendly. That multiplies even the solar energy yield, because Vitocal heat pumps generate up to five times the heat from one kilowatt of solar power and the heat from the air or the soil. With Vitocal heat pumps that can also cool, the large amount of solar power in summer can be used especially effectively for cooling buildings.

The combination of large output and attractive exterior makes the new Vitovolt 200 module the first choice for demanding users. With the black monocrystalline high-output cells, the black anodized frame and the color-coordinated mounting system, the module is attractive due to its perfect design.

The new Vitovolt 200 (type M270 YC) has a socket with six bypass diodes. They prevent overheating of individual solar cells (hotspot effect) and thus ensure reliable operation of the photovoltaic system, even with partial shading.

The 3.2-millimeter-thick transmission glass ensures a high degree of protection, e.g., against hail. A 40-millimeter-thick frame made of corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy provides for mechanical stability.
