The Prince of Asturias inaugurates 60 views of Ferrovial exhibition

The Prince of Asturias, accompanied by Ferrovial Chairman Rafael del Pino, inaugurated the photography exhibition entitled 60 views of Ferrovial, on display at CaixaForum Madrid until 30 July. The exhibition is the work of artist José Manuel Ballester, who spent a year photographing the company's main activities and projects.

On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, Ferrovial invited photographer José Manuel Ballester, winner of the Spanish National Photography Prize in 2010, to compile a portrait of the company through its main activities and projects around the world. Ballester began in February 2012, with the Zarzuela racetrack in Madrid. Over the space of a year, he travelled 31,416 kilometers to visit 35 locations in a dozen countries in order to capture his own specific vision of the structures, buildings, spaces and services that Ferrovial has made possible.

These powerful images reflect the projects' complexity as well as Ferrovial's versatility and broad capabilities, which encompass the full infrastructure life cycle, from planning and construction through to maintenance. "The result is a collection of images that showcase the scale of the labors by those who work at Ferrovial and those who have worked at the company in the last sixty years, which, thanks to the generosity of La Caixa, are on display in a building that was executed by Ferrovial, " Mr del Pino concluded.

60 views of Ferrovial, curated by Rafael Doctor, is a singular collection of photographs on display at CaixaForum Madrid until 30 July. The photographs feature a selection of the company's most important projects, such as toll roads in Dallas, Chicago and Chile; airports in Madrid, London and Gdańsk; recycling plants, ports, and water treatment facilities; cultural buildings, including the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, and the CaixaForum building where the exhibition is being held; and the municipal and environmental services it provides.
