Impregilo wins contracts relating to the A1 highway in Poland

New success under the Strategic Accord between Impregilo and Salini, confirming the competitiveness and the commercial coverage of the global market: Impregilo, Italy's biggest builder, with a share participation equal to that of Salini Polska (33.34%), together with the Polish company Kobylarnia (33.32%), has won in Poland three lots of the A1 Torun-Strykow Highway for a length of approximately 75 km and a total value of circa 250 million Euros.

The initiative, promoted by the Polish General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, cofinanced by the European Community, will be realized in 12 months and marks the return to Poland of the Joint Venture Impregilo – Salini, which built between 1994 and 1996 a highway tract near the city of Katowice.

Listed on the Italian Stock Exchange, Impregilo is a leading international EPC player. Active in the engineering and construction of major infrastructures, the Group is present in about 30 countries and has around 14,000 employees with specialist professional skills. The Impregilo Group closed financial year 2011 with an order backlog standing at € 25.1 billion and net sales of € 2.1 billion.
