Biogas technologies for residential and commercial real estate

While large agricultural companies continue to equip their farms with biogas plants, a new model of a biogas unit has been developed to provide the high-level energy efficiency to residential and commercial real estate. New research in 2012 significantly increased the scale of employment of biogas technologies. Thailand Institute of Science and Technological Research (TISTR) developed a model of biogas unit for residential and commercial real estate. Mini biogas plant is only one square meter in diameter and recycles 15 kilograms of waste per day. Biomethane is produced in two weeks after the start of fermentation. As developers point out, technology is designed to provide gas for utility purposes.

According to "Bioenergy News," British agricultural company "Staples Vegetables" launched a new biogas project. Its third biogas plant will be built to cover all if the power needs of its facility in Sisbey, Boston. Company representatives note, the national grid near Sisbey doesn't have the capacity to provide sufficient power for its agricultural facility.

Overall capacity of biogas technologies have been increased by employment of a plant's preliminary tank as a feeder and as a hydrolysis reactor of aerobic type. International biogas company Zorg Biogas AG announced the development of a new technology that improves utilization of biogas equipment.
