16 MW solar project on Sardinia

In Giave (Sassari), Sardinia, WINAICO has successfully finalized the largest project with WINAICO modules. WINAICO, as general contractor, forecasts a future yield of 26.252.226,00 kWh per year for the 16 MWp photovoltaic plant. The quality of the WINAICO modules was recently confirmed by German TÜV with the passed PID test and a maximal loss in performance of 1%. The works already started on February 15th 2012. In only 58 days the systems was installed and on June 26th 2012 connected to the public grid. The greenhouses extend over an area of approximately 30 hectares. 67.704 WINAICO modules

WSP-235P6 are installed with an orientation of 22 degrees towards South. The inverters in operation are from Solarmax and LTI.

"We are very happy that the international operator GSE (Gestore Servizi Energetici) was extremely satisfied with the implementation of the project. Due to the good work and precision the inspection was made by GSE without any difficulty", said Marco Ippoliti, Managing Director of WINAICO Italia.

For the first time WINAICO, as module manufacturer, was general contractor and besides the module supply responsible for the planning, technical design and installation.

The greenhouses are at least for the next 20 years used for the cultivation of crop plants. Thus they are greenhouse and solar park in one, they can be doubled used.
