Good news for a third of Anglian Home Improvements’ customers

The Government is proposing to temporarily relax planning rules on extensions to help boost the British economy, which would be a welcome development for around a third of Anglian Home Improvements' customers. At a time when many people are choosing to make improvements to their current home rather than move house, {{this would allow homeowners to build larger extensions on their properties – including conservatories, orangeries and panoramic extensions}} – without all the cost and time delays currently involved.

At present, an extension of up to three metres can be added to a property without the need to obtain planning permission. Under the new proposals, this could increase to eight metres for a three year period, which would be good news for many of Anglian Home Improvements' customers as around a third of the planning applications the company is involved with each year are larger than three metres. This would mean that Anglian customers could have their new conservatory, orangery or panoramic extension installed more quickly, enabling them to reap the benefits sooner.

Where planning permission is still required, Anglian Home Improvements will continue to offer its service of handling applications on behalf of its customers, saving them the trouble of completing lengthy and sometimes complicated forms. Anglian Home Improvements has a long and established relationship with the Planning Portal, which is the Government's online planning and building regulations resource for England and Wales. In fact, as one of the largest submitters of planning applications, Anglian Home Improvements helped with the initial set-up of the Portal in 2005. In 2010, Anglian received recognition from the Planning Portal for submitting over 5,000 applications in five years.

Anglian Home Improvements is the UK's biggest installer of conservatories. It offers a wide range of bespoke conservatories and extensions, so for homeowners looking for a separate dining room, space for a playroom, or simply somewhere to relax and enjoy the garden, Anglian is sure to have the perfect solution.
