Many exhibitors from abroad will be putting on a presentation in Munich, at Expo Real 2012 between October 8 to 10, 2012. Luxembourg and The Netherlands, for example, will be well represented, both at individual booths and above all in national pavilions.

The Luxembourg pavilion will reflect the entire spectrum of the Luxembourg real estate sector. Agora will be presenting its conversion project, Belval, at the fair. On an area of 120 hectares, it is building over 1.4 million square meters of gross space – residential, office, leisure and research. Over 33 percent of this total has been completed over the last eight years or is currently under construction.

One of the projects showcased at Expo Real by Valeres, which builds industrial and commercial facilities in Luxembourg, The Netherlands and Germany, is a new retail and office building in the heart of Strassen Business Center with 6,000 square meters and 250 parking spaces.

Somaco is presenting one of its active development projects – the Findel Golf Office Park.

On the first day of the fair – October 8, 2012 – between 12:00 and14:00, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is holding an official reception and booth opening. The Luxembourg Minister of the Economy and Foreign Trade, Etienne Schneider, will be giving those present a review of the investment opportunities in Luxembourg and future real-estate developments.

Also on the first day of the fair, Luxembourg will feature in the INVESTMENT LOCATIONS FORUM. Among those coming together to discuss "Luxembourg – Real Estate Investment Vehicles", will be Etienne Schneider, Minister of the Economy and Foreign Trade, Felix Eischen, Vice-President of the Commission for the Economy of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg, and Marco Screggia, Director of Tracol Immobilier – Groupe Getral, Luxembourg.

The Netherlands

The Netherlands will be represented at two pavilions at Expo Real: the Holland Property Plaza pavilion and the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. Together with individual exhibitors such as Corio, Dormio, Multi Development, Rabo Real Estate Group, Redevco and Prologis, The Netherlands has one of the strongest turn-outs at the fair.

The Amsterdam Metropolitan Area pavilion will be represented by six municipal authorities from the region of Amsterdam and seven private firms: The authorities are: City of Amsterdam Development Corporation, Economic Affairs, Port of Amsterdam, Department Zuidas, Schiphol Region (SADC/ AAA), City of Amstelveen, City of Zaanstad, City of Almere, City of Haarlemmermeer and City of Lelystad. And the companies are: Dura Vermeer, Bouwinvest REIM, Boekel de Néree, Colliers, Syntrus Achmea Vastgoed, AM/AM Red and Delta.

Amsterdam will be showing how it is intending to reduce vacancies by encouraging the transformation and re-use of empty office property and limiting new building.

In 2012, the Holland Property Plaza pavilion is being organized for the fifth time. Featuring 16 participants this year, the motto for the presentation is "The Dutch Dream". The participants will be putting on a program of short presentations and discussions focusing on design, engineering, transformation and re-development. In addition the program addresses the top themes on the Dutch market: the necessary write-downs on commercial property, modernization, flexible offices and the necessity of creating attractive, "green" buildings that meet the demands of the next generation of employees.
