Amec wins framework agreement for Government Procurement Service

London-based engineering and project management firm Amec has been awarded a three-year framework agreement by the Government Procurement Service (GPS) to provide environmental and sustainability advice, support and delivery services across the UK public sector.

GPS is an executive agency of the Cabinet Office, providing procurement savings for the UK Public Sector as a whole and specifically to deliver centralised procurement for Central Government Departments. Amec's appointment covers the provision of policy and technical advice, and support and delivery services across seven key areas of air, water, climate change, landscapes and seascapes, noise and statutory nuisance and the built environment.

The new framework agreement is now live. Amec's Environment & Infrastructure business already operates a number of other framework contracts with government bodies in the UK including the Environment Agency, Carbon Trust, Partnership for Renewables, WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) and the Ministry of Defence.
