Rail safety specialist Rowe Hankins appoints new UK sales manager

Michael Healy is the new UK sales manager at rail and light transit engineering specialist, Rowe Hankins. A rail industry veteran, Michael is rejoining the company, having previously worked for them during the 1990's. Michael will be responsible for sales of Rowe Hankins' speed control and wheel flange lubrication systems to rail majors for new build and for retro fit sales to operators. The brief also includes the promotion of workshop services for mid-life re-manufacture of critical electro mechanical elements such as circuit breakers and contactors

With extensive engineering systems and components experience in the rail industry Michael has worked on supply contracts for the Turbostar, Electrostar and Pendalino programmes, as well as projects for Rail-Track. Recently he has been working with Schneider Electric on electrical switchgear systems.

Rowe Hankins has particular expertise with on-train monitoring and recording systems (OTMRS), being the UK distributor and service centre for Swiss engineered Hasler equipment. In this role, they are suppliers to new build rail vehicle projects and also repair and upgrade existing OTMRS on trains and trams with additional memory, data download and WiFi communications.

"It's great to be back with the old team," Michael commented. "Rowe Hankins is a professional organisation with a highly qualified engineering team, world class products and IRIS certified quality systems. I relish the challenge," he concluded.
