| Atkins completes design of Oman Medical City Atkins, the largest engineering consultancy in the UK, has completed the masterplan of a new world-class health facility, The Medical City (TMC), in Salalah, Oman. The project, being undertaken by the Apex Medical Group, represents the largest private healthcare infrastructure development in Oman. This integrated healthcare development project aims to make the most of Salalah's natural beauty and environment and offer a preferred destination for rehabilitation and medical tourism. Atkins' task was to prepare the strategic masterplan of TMC on the 800, 000 sq metre site, located by the Arabian Sea, in order to deliver an outstanding medical education and research and development facility.
