Cleanroom Village creates synergies

Chillventa 2012 from 9–11 October 2012 presents the Cleanroom Village once again. This special feature offers designers, plant assemblers und operators of clean and ultra-clean rooms an internationally orientated exhibition forum for information on air conditioning and ventilation. "Cleanroom technology is an ideal enhancement for Chillventa, as shown by the successful premiere of the Cleanroom Village at Chillventa 2010. The Cleanroom Village creates synergies that benefit both exhibitors and visitors, " explains Gabriele Hannwacker, Exhibition Director at NürnbergMesse. The exhibitors in the Cleanroom Village show innovative technologies and concepts for the design, construction and operation of cleanrooms in industry and research.

Where absolute hygiene and cleanliness are required, reliable processing and control of the room air must be assured. Clean and ultra-clean rooms are therefore essential to ensure smooth operation in many production processes in industry, food manufacture, medical research or nanotechnology laboratories. Cleanrooms must meet correspondingly high standards, and the short innovation cycles make them a constant challenge for designers and operators. As international forum for cleanroom professionals, the Cleanroom Village at Chillventa concentrates the expertise of manufacturers and service providers. With the latest technologies and a broad range of services and offers for certification, training and qualification, the Cleanroom Village covers the entire field of cleanroom technology.

High demands
Clean and ultra-clean rooms are classified by the permissible number of particles of a certain size per cubic metre of air, as defined in the cleanroom classes to EN ISO 14644. Depending on the cleanroom class, the standard imposes high and exacting demands on room design, air treatment, refrigeration and air conditioning, air conduction and lock systems. The standards for measuring and monitoring equipment and for the qualifications of the people working in these rooms are just as demanding.

Broad spectrum of products in the Cleanroom Village
The Cleanroom Village at Chillventa offers trade visitors an information platform for cleanroom technology that provides a comprehensive overview of design, implementation, certification and maintenance. It explicitly focuses on the technology industries of medical devices, safety laboratories, microelectronics and food. Besides wall and ceiling systems for equipping and constructing cleanrooms, the product spectrum in the Cleanroom Village covers personnel and material locks, air treatment and air conditioning with clean air distributors, laminar flow systems and filter systems. The heating, cooling and media systems concentrate on energy efficiency. The products on display in the Cleanroom Village also include analytical systems for airborne molecular contamination and test equipment for determining cleanroom classification and measuring temperature and humidity. The Cleanroom Village gives the service sector the opportunity to present their entire spectrum from acceptance testing and cleaning of cleanrooms to the provision of protective clothing and maintenance. Personnel training and GMP plant qualification are also essential elements of the products and services presented.

Energy efficiency a major factor
Chillventa 2012 focuses on energy efficiency and sustainability. "Politics and industry throughout the world are pursuing ambitious plans for reducing CO2 and greenhouse gas emissions. The manufacturers have recognized the signs of the times and present optimized system solutions and components at Chillventa. They not only spare the environment, but also set standards in terms of cost-effectiveness, " says Gabriele Hannwacker. The energy-saving products on display at Chillventa cover the whole range from A to Z, with equipment such as axial ventilators, two-stage compressors etc.

Preparations in full swing
Chillventa 2012, the exhibition highlight for the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump sectors, is approaching rapidly. The preparations for the next Chillventa, which offers three great days for intensive talks with experts – now with new opening days from Tuesday to Thursday – are already in full swing. Potential exhibitors need to hurry up: more than 94 per cent of the stand space in 2010 is already booked. Due to the positive response, the organizers have increased the display space available for Chillventa 2012.
