Baker establishes Oil & Gas Pipeline Engineering Services group

Michael Baker Jr., Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corp, announced that it has established a Pittsburgh-based, Oil & Gas Pipeline Engineering Services group. Capabilities of the group's team members include preliminary and detail engineering design, project management, construction management, and integrity management, which are focused on serving the Marcellus Shale midstream and greater Northeast U.S. downstream pipeline markets. Robert "Mark" Morgan, who brings more than 23 years of Appalachia pipeline project and engineering expertise to Baker, will lead the group as engineering technical services manager and senior project manager.

Morgan will oversee day-to-day operations and be responsible for direct client relationships. He will apply his extensive operations management background gained from projects performed for such notable energy producers as BP North America and Columbia Gas Transmission. Morgan has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, and an Associates of Science in Electronics Engineering, both from the West Virginia Institute of Technology.
