BAM International announces new contract in Qatar

BAM International, the operating company of Royal BAM Group active outside Europe, has won a contract from Lusail Real Estate Development Company WLL for the construction of two outfall pipelines in Doha, Qatar. Works have started mid-December and will take approximately nine months. The contract value totals €10 million.

The pipelines will serve the storm water discharge of the new northern extension to Doha, Lusail City, which is currently under construction and will house 190,000 residents, 170,000 employees and 90,000 visitors upon completion. The HDPE pipelines will be 1,100 and 1,500 metres in length, with a diameter of 1.4 to 1.8 metres. They will be sunk and ballasted into a trench dug by BAM International.
