Hochtief builds two schools for the City of Offenbach

Hochtief Concessions – via its subsidiary Hochtief PPP Solutions - has been awarded the contract for a new public-private partnership (PPP) project in the field of education. On behalf of the City of Offenbach, the company is to plan, finance, build/refurbish and subsequently operate two schools in the city. The contract, with a volume of around EUR 89.2 million, has a duration of just over 22 years, including the construction phase. The investment volume is about EUR 60.6 million.

July 1 sees the start of planning for the building work. This will be carried out by Hochtief Construction and take 38 months to complete. The Beethovenstrasse part of the project comprises the building of a new primary school with a gymnasium. In the Buchhügel location, the Theodor Heuss School will be refurbished, and an extension and a new gymnasium will be built. All the new structures meet the "passive house" standard for energy efficiency.
