Parsons participates in Arabian World Construction Summit

Parsons announced that it is exhibiting at the Arabian World Construction Summit (AWCS), the premier annual Middle East event for the projects industry. This event will take place May 24 – 26 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre, United Arab Emirates.

In addition to exhibiting at the 3-day summit, three Parsons employees will participate in panel discussions. Jeffrey F. Squires, Parsons MENA (Middle East and North Africa) President, will participate in a discussion entitled "Protecting your profit margins amidst the global economic squeeze." Mr. Squires is responsible for providing overall leadership, driving all business development opportunities, expanding the corporation's sales team, and promoting Parsons' core values and strategic objectives in the MENA region.

Also speaking at the summit will be Parsons Vice Presidents Richard Cary-Brown and Rick Schoenthaler. Mr. Cary-Brown, who has more than 35 years of experience in the transportation industry, will be speaking on the transportation panel, and Mr. Schoenthaler, who has more than 30 years of experience in water and wastewater systems, will be speaking on the utilities panel.

AWCS 2010 will bring together more than 400 delegates and 50 industry leaders and guests from across the Arabian Gulf and beyond for 3 days of debate, discussions, and networking. The core theme of the summit will be "Growing in a challenging market." It will highlight opportunities and possibilities in the Gulf markets and beyond, examine developments in the general construction contractor projects industry from concept to completion, and tackle critical operational issues besetting the sector: payment delays, project cancellations, and alternative ways of financing the project pipeline.
