Over 80 million passengers have gone through Ditec doors

60 reliable Ditec pedestrian doors have been installed over eight years ago in Linate airport entrances, where they ensure an impeccable and ongoing service. Approximately 8 years ago, within the scope of a major entrance refurbishing project to comply with safety standards, Ditec automatic doors were installed at the arrivals and departures area of Milan Linate airport. Linate airport is the third busiest Italian airport, by number of passengers, and connects Milan to the top domestic and European destinations. The airport, in fact, is used by over 9,000,000 passengers a year. It is estimated that over 80 million passengers have gone through Ditec automatic doors.

The entrances of an airport are subject to a record number of operations, with an incredibly high daily frequency rate. In the busiest days, passenger traffic can generate more than a thousand opening and closing operations of each door, even with reverse operations. The doors must meet a large number of architectural, quality, control requirements in compliance with relevant standards and to ensure passengers' safety. The automatic doors fitted at the airport are BIS model doors, complete with dedicated Ditec Pam 35 aluminium frames with wing antipanic breakout devices.

BIS sliding automatic doors display not only the CE marking, as required by the machinery directive standard, but are also TUV certified. In virtue of their high quality performance, they are able to brilliantly meet all the required operating needs and to effectively accomplish their duty in any heavy traffic condition. Equipped with the most innovative safety systems even in emergency situations, they work in the Energy Saving mode and allow a considerable energy saving both when operational and in stand-by.
