Skanska to construct office in Norway

Swedish construction giant Skanska has secured the assignment to construct an office building in Asker, outside Oslo. The construction contract totals NOK 290 M, approximately SEK 360 M. The customer is the Norwegian industrial and finance company Ferd. As part of the agreement, Ferd will take over land previously owned and developed by Skanska.

The project includes a new office building that Ferd has leased to Aibel – a company that is active in service for the oil industry. The project comprises a total of 23, 000 square meters, of which the office portion is 15, 000 square meters and the remainder is a parking garage.

The work on-site will commence in May and the project will be completed in December 2011.
