Amec’s Jinks saluted by National Safety Council

Amec, the international engineering and project management company, announces that Roger Jinks, President of the company's Earth & Environmental division, has been named to the National Safety Council's 2010 list of "CEOs Who Get It."

Only eight executives made this year's list, which recognizes corporate leaders who have made distinguished contributions to the safety and health of their employees, their employees' families and to corporate and community sustainability.

The National Safety Council is the premier advocacy group for safety in the United States.

Amec has received six National Safety Council awards in the past three years. These include two last October – one for logging five million employee hours without a lost-time injury over a 17-month period in the United States and the other for four million hours without a lost-time injury in its global operations over a period of more than seven months. AMEC also was listed as one of "America's Safest Companies" by EHS Today magazine last November.
