Finland's Kone wins order for Elite Residence Tower in Dubai

Finnish lift and escalator maker Kone has won an order to supply elevators for the Elite Residence Tower in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The tower, measuring 381 meters, will contain a total of twelve Kone elevators which will ensure safe and easy transportation for the tower's workers and visitors. The order includes energy efficient solutions such as three Kone MonoSpace Special platforms as well as nine Kone MiniSpace elevators with speeds up to 6 m/s.

Kone 's involvement in the project started with an analysis of the traffic patterns in the building to ensure the efficient and smooth movement of people. During construction, Kone will arrive early on site to provide transportation for goods and crews with its innovative Kone JumpLift solution. Using one of the building's permanent hoist ways, the Kone JumpLift includes a temporary machine room that is moved up as the construction work progresses.

Elite Residence Tower, the Masterpiece, is a new development by TAMEER and destined to become one of the Middle East's most exclusive and desirable addresses. Ideally located at the heart of Dubai Marina, near The Palm Jumeirah and The Mall of the Emirates; the Elite Residence Tower features 90 luxurious floors and has been given a postmodern design which features an spectacular mixture of Victorian architecture finished in a futuristic layout. Construction of the tower is expected to be completed in September of 2011.
