SNC-Lavalin wins contract for Wasit Gas Program

Canadian engineering and construction firm SNC-Lavalin announced that it has been awarded a front-end engineering (FEED) and project management services contract by Saudi Aramco for the Wasit Gas Development Program. The Wasit Gas Development Program will provide for the production and processing of up to 2.5 billion standard cubic feet per day (SCFD) of gas from the Aribiyah and Hasbah offshore non-associated sour gas fields to meet the future demands of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is a 5-year contract expected to commence by October 1, 2009.
