Wooden cube in levitation on a glass base

A home combining design, comfort, sustainable development and innovation in the heart of Paris? That was the challenge that Mr. and Mrs. Chapuis gave themselves when they called on the well-known Argentinean architect, P. Katz, for the construction of their home in the heart of the French capital. CK06 is the name of this 250m² project in Paris that can be summarized in a few key words such as light, materials, technology and ecology. This "wooden cube in levitation on a glass base" is the perfect representation of homes from the 21st century when "intelligent" technology for good living is integrated in modern architecture. Everything has been thought out to limit energy expenditure, whence the choice of materials that are 100% recyclable. Glass also plays a major role throughout the house due to its transparent quality. It's in that context that SADEV proved to be the most appropriate supplier for the different glass installations.

Mr Chapuis sought out mechanical parts that match with glass as elegantly as possible while meeting very specific and significant functional constraints: a glass cube in the middle of a room, glass doors 3 meters high and 2.5 m high, etc.

SADEV was seen as the solution meeting the given technical issues: systems that are elegant and sober, a complete range of products, proven expertise for technical and customized solutions, the capacity to supply turnkey solutions from the design stage to delivery of the parts.

Given the strong belief that Mr MOOS had in this project, he chose to support this construction project by supplying the SADEV components free of charge that were necessary to complete the house: Ø40 and Ø25 pivoting door systems, Direct Roller sliding systems for the bathroom, shark fin railings for the deck, angle transmissions with Monti Finishing, etc.

This participation was also an action contributing to a project that made the choice of respecting environmental constraints. Given that the SADEV components are in stainless steel, they meet the need for "100% recyclable" parts perfectly.

SADEV is confident in the quality, performance and design of its parts. That's why it took the risk of offering its products to a very demanding architect and homeowner.

Today the challenge has been met since this private residence in Paris has been open to the public for visitation in the framework of the Day of architecture for good living.
