Siemens inaugurates new training center in Bremen

German engineering firm Siemens has officially opened a new wind power training center in the city of Bremen. With immediate effect, the technology company now offers a broad-based qualification program for customer personnel and service technicians from around the globe. The training center is an important part of the European service headquarters for wind power in Bremen and, together with three other training facilities in Europe and the U.S., meets Siemens global training needs for wind power services.

Wind turbines and the associated services are important features of the Siemens environmental portfolio. In 2008, revenue from the products and solutions of Siemens environmental portfolio was nearly EUR19 billion, which is equivalent to around a quarter of Siemens total revenue.
