Carillion’s business in Oman secures £275m Parliament project

Carillion's business in Oman, Carillion Alawi, has secured a prestigious contract to build the Majlis, a new Parliament building in the centre of Muscat, with an estimated construction value of £275m.

The contract includes the construction of a new building to house the Majlis Oman, Majlis A'shura and Majlis A'ddowla, together with VIP areas, an Information Centre, Library, offices and other support facilities. Work will start immediately and will be carried out in two phases, with the Majlis Oman completed by September 2011 and the remaining works by September 2012.
