NCC to renovate Freifjord tunnel in Norway

NCC Construction Norway has been commissioned to renovate the five-kilometer-long Freifjord tunnel in Vestlandet, Norway. The client is the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and the order value is approximately SEK 220 million.

Highway 70 Freifjord tunnel is a five-kilometer-long underground road tunnel that was opened for traffic in August 1992. The tunnel forms part of the main road between Kristiansund and Molde in Vestlandet, Norway.

Work on the tunnel is scheduled to commence in August 2009 and will extend until December 2010.
