FCC announces changes in management team

Spanish construction firms FCC has appointed Francisco Martín Monteagudo as General Manager of Human Resources and Antonio Gómez Ciria as General Manager of Administration and Information Technology.

They replace Antonio Pérez Colmenero and José Luís Vasco Hernando, respectively, who have decided to retire. Antonio Pérez Colmenero, who is a member of the Board of Directors of FCC, has spent practically his entire career (42 years) at FCC, always as General Manager of Human Resources. José Luís Vasco has been with the Company for 35 years, the last twelve as General Manager of Administration.

The new General Manager of Human Resources, Francisco Martín Monteagudo, 48, holds a degree in Chemistry from Madrid Complutense University. He was formerly Head of Human Resources for Eastern Europe at Dow Chemical, based in Zurich, General Manager of Human Resources at Sol Meliá and, since 2001, General Manager of Human Resources at Indra.

Antonio Gómez Ciria, 52, the new General Manager of Administration and Information Technology, has been General Manager of Internal Audit at FCC since 2005. A graduate in Mathematics and Economics, he was formerly Head of the Market Inspectorate at Madrid Stock Exchange, a director of Tabacalera Empresa Nacional de Autopistas and Empresa Nacional del Uranio, and Chairman of the Instituto de Contabilidad and Auditoría de Cuentas.

The Board also appointed Miguel Hernanz Sanjuán, 39, as Head of Internal Audit; he was formerly Deputy Head of Internal Audit at FCC, and an Audit Manager at Pricewaterhouse Coopers from 1994 to 2005.
