Rocket 7024 stick electrodes

Rocket 7024, a new generation of E-7024 stick electrode designed to improve weldability and productivity on flat and horizontal welding applications, is available from Hobart Brothers. The Rocket 7024 electrodes are particularly well suited for general plate, tank and construction equipment fabrication, and for SMAW (shielded metal arc welding) applications requiring high deposition rates and high travel speeds. Featuring a self-removing slag system that completely releases slag, Rocket 7024 electrodes improve productivity by minimizing timely post-weld activities such as chipping or grinding. Rocket 7024 stick electrodes also produced lower spatter levels than competitive 7024 electrodes and welded aptly through moderate amounts of dirt and rust, while still achieving a consistently smooth, flat weld bead profile-factors that, combined, further minimize unnecessary rework and downtime.

Designed for DCEN, AC, or DCEP welding, Rocket 7024 electrodes are available in 1/8-, 5/32-, 3/16-, 7/32- and ¼-inch diameters. These electrodes provide high deposition rates for faster travel speeds and greater productivity, while a smooth, quiet arc adds to the operator appeal and ease of use of Rocket 7024 electrodes.

Rocket 7024 electrodes meet the exacting AWS (American Welding Society) E7024 requirements for horizontal fillet and flat-position electrodes and offer a minimum tensile strength of 70,000 psi (70 ksi).
