Nuttall John Martin wins restoration project

Nuttall John Martin, a wholly owned subsidiary of Edmund Nuttall Ltd, has been awarded a £2.2million contract by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council to restore Southend Pier.

Southend Pier is the longest pleasure pier in the world at 1.33 miles, the project involves restoration of some 100 metres of fire damaged pier, removing damaged material and installing primary, secondary beams and timber decking.

The project will begin Mid September and will run for 32 weeks. This scheme will also involve alterations to the existing light railway, installing of associated buildings including M&E installation.
