Emcor wins contract for the U.S. Coast Guard TRACEN in Virginia

US engineering and construction company Emcor Group, Inc. announced that its Emcor Government Services (EGS) unit has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to provide facilities maintenance services to the U.S. Coast Guard's Training Center (TRACEN) in Yorktown, Virginia. This base is the largest training center in the U.S. Coast Guard, annually training over 50 percent of all Coast Guard active, reserve, auxiliary and international personnel, as well as other local, state and federal employees. The contract, which is EGS' first one with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, will begin on October 1, 2008 with a base year and the option of extension for four successive one-year periods.
