| Barratt 's profit decreased 13% British housebuilder Barratt Developments made a pre-tax profit before exceptional items of £392.3m in the year to the end of June (2007:£451m). The group said forward sales at 30 June 2008 were £698m, compared with £1.4bn in 2007. By the end of August forward sales had increased to £783m. Barratt said it will not pay a final dividend after reporting a 13pc fall in underlying annual profit.
