FLSmidth to supply equipment for new plant near Hamburg, Germany

Danish cement and minerals technology supplier FLSmidth & Co A/S has announced that its subsidiary, FLSmidth MVT/KOCH, has signed a contract worth 28.7m euros (DKK 214m) to supply material handling equipment for a new coal fired power plant near Hamburg in northern Germany.

The contract comprises two grab shipunloaders for coal and one combined shiploader for FGD-gypsum, dry ash and wet ash. Mechanical, electrical and structural supplies for the three machines are also included as is pneumatic ash handling equipment provided by FLSmidth Möller.

The order will contribute beneficially to FLSmidth's earnings until the equipment is commissioned in late 2011 or early 2012.
