Clark/Balfour Beatty jv awarded contract in Bethesda

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command awarded the Clark/Balfour Beatty joint venture a design-build contract for major expansion and renovations to the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. The project totals over $640,000,000 and will be completed over a period of 40 months.

Under the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) program the project will be designed and constructed by the Clark/Balfour Beatty joint venture to support establishment of the new Walter Reed National Military Medical Center at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda.

In another joint venture, Clark and Balfour Beatty are already working together under the BRAC program on a $1.2 billion headquarters New Campus East expansion in northern Virginia under a contract with the Baltimore District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
